Cancer sucks! Unfortunately we all know of someone who has had or has cancer. The Bangor area has been described as a cancer cluster. I am one of the lucky ones, having survived cancer twice.

Sunday, June 7th is National Cancer Survivor's Day. The Purple Iris Foundation invites everyone to attend a FREE event, celebrating cancer survivors at Jeff's Catering in Brewer on Sunday, June 7th from 2 to 5 p.m.

According to the National Cancer Survivor's Day website Sunday is the day people across the globe will come together to acknowledge cancer survivors, raise awareness of the ongoing challenges cancer survivors face because of their disease, and – most importantly – celebrate life.

There will be complementary food, soft beverages. and goodie bags for attendees. You'll be able to listen to survivor stories.

Whether you are a survivor, caregiver, family member, friend or supporter, this event is for you!

You can preregister for this FREE event HERE or just walk-in.
