A New York man faces charges after he allegedly robbed a cab driver on Saturday in Brewer.

Johnathan Guitierrez-Gomez, 20, of Amityville, NY., is charged with robbery, criminal threatening and assault.

The victim, a cab driver, reported that he picked up Guitierrez-Gomez and another person at a Bangor residence to take them to the Brewer Walmart. While travelling to the Brewer location, an argument about the cab fare ensued.

The cab driver reported that one of the individuals put a handgun to his head and used physical force against him. The two passengers left the cab and entered the Brewer Walmart without paying the driver.

Investigating officers located two men and detained them. They also located a BB gun pistol deigned to look like a handgun that the suspect had discarded.

The other passenger in the cab was not charged.
