There are well over 1,000 different brands of sodas, from colas, to lemon-lime, fruit flavors, root beer & cream sodas, ginger ale, energy drinks, and specialty drinks.

According to their June 2024 survey, Coca-Cola is the most popular soda in 20 states. Mountain Dew is the second most popular soda, with 16 states favoring it, and Pepsi is third with 11 states.

When it comes to the great State of Maine, we buck the trend, making a surprising choice at number one.

Amazingly, when you look at the Top 5, Moxie, the official soda of Maine, is nowhere to be found. That only adds to it's legendary status as a "love it" or "hate it" beverage.
