According to Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife's Facebook Page, an 11-year-old girl from Damariscotta, Maine went missing on Monday morning. Why? Well, she climbed a tree.

When I was younger and didn't want to go to school, I would pretend I was sick but this 11-year-old took it do a whole 'nother level. She climbed a tree near her home in order to get out of going to school.

The post states,

"The young girl, who had become upset with her mother about having to go to school this morning, left the house at about 8:15 Monday morning."

Her mom noticed that she wasn't the car to ride to school.

This is scary for any Mama to see. So she called the Damariscotta Police Department and they had a tough time trying to find her.

Officials even needed to do a fly over with a drone at one point. This search took several hours.

The Maine Warden Service brought out the K9 unit. The dog's name is Koda and he started looking in the woods and started to pin-point a tree near her home.

The dog did not want to leave that spot. They eventually looked up and noticed the little girl. Thankfully, she was unharmed and finally reunited with her family.
