
Maine’s Camp CaPella Hosts Its 20th Annual Polar Dip Next Month
Take a chilly dip, and support a great cause!
If dipping your toes into the chilly water is your style, or if you run with a full head of steam into the water, there is an event on a bone chilling winter day in February, that might interest you, and best of all, it helps benefit a fantastic area organization.
The Annual Camp CaPella Polar Dip is a go for 2026, on Saturday, February 28th, from 10am-noon. Registration starts at 9am, with the first jump scheduled for 10am.
This the 20th year of this event, and year 3 of their Frost Festival!
The Frost Festival will feature all the fun of the original Polar Dip, with added activities, like prizes, a hot tub, games, snowmobile/sled Rides, and food.
The Polar Dip has always been the largest fundraiser of the year for Camp CaPella, the non-profit summer camp serving individuals with disabilities. Last year, they raised 70K.
This long-standing event is held annually at Camp Capella on Phillips Lake in Dedham and participants receive pledges to jump into the icy lake water through a hole cut into the ice.
This exciting event is open to everyone. In person jumpers will participate at Phillips Lake, on Feb 28th. You can also register online and select a time.
Also, before long, Camp CaPella will be gearing up to release their upcoming camp dates and will be taking camper applications. Keep your eyes peeled on their social media platforms for future news.
