Last Chance Bangor Artists

Downtown Bangor Wheatpaste Mural Project is seeking artist submissions for this year’s undertaking. The deadline for submissions is tomorrow (Friday) at 11:59 p.m. Last chance, indeed.

Last year the Downtown Bangor Partnership and Launchpad partnered and 6 murals were put up Downtown. Thanks to the building owners and others 2021 will be bigger and better. This year the plan is to have 11 murals installed throughout Downtown Bangor.

But again, the deadline is Friday. How fast can you get your submission entered? Here’s the contact info:

Final selections will be made by next Friday and murals will be installed in Downtown on May 22^nd and left up throughout the spring and summer.

This year’s theme is ‘Unity’. Perfect for what we’ve all been through.

Volunteers are also required to assist with putting up the murals. Now that’s civic pride. With more and more of us getting outside and being grateful for that opportunity after last summer, this is one more project that makes an impact. And not only on us, want it or not, but they are definitely coming "from away" this summer.
