Anna Kendrick, a native of Portland, Maine, has continued to make a name for herself as a talented actress, and now director, in Hollywood.
The Deering High School graduate started her acting career early, taking the stage in a number of local productions before transitioning to the big screen.
In a Hot Ones interview with host Sean Evans, she revealed that one of her first performances was around 6 years old as an orphan in a stage production of "Annie."
She hasn't stopped since then.
A breakout role for Kendrick came in the 2009 George Clooney drama "Up in the Air," which earned her an Academy Award nomination and really launched her into the spotlight.
