Maine State Police Looking Into A Death That Occurred In Town Of Lincoln
Authorities spent most of Wednesday in Lincoln investigating an incident that took place at 614 Mohawk Rd.
According to Maine Public Safety Spokeswoman, Shannon Moss, Lincoln police responded to the residence when a 911 call came in from the home just after 9 AM.
"The caller reported a shooting had occurred at the residence. Responding law enforcement officers discovered a deceased person at the scene. The deceased was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death."
Moss says the State Police Major Crimes Unit North and the Evidence Response Team were called in to investigate the situation and determine what took place at the home.
They believe that the public is not at risk and that it's an isolated incident.
