The Maine State Police responded to more than 130 crashes related to the snowstorm and icy road conditions on Saturday.

Police said “the majority of the crashes were property damage only. A few had minor injuries.”

Pickup and Plow Truck Collided on Icy Road

A pickup truck and plow truck collided around 1:30 pm on Beaver Dam Road in Readfield.

Police said pick up truck “ricocheted off the plow”

The driver of the pickup “lost control and crashed head-on into a plow truck, ricocheted off the plow and went into an inlet of Maranacook Lake,” said the Maine State Police.

Driver was Able to Get Out of Truck

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and was able to get out of the vehicle without incident. Names and ages were not released.
