
Racing Season Begins May 10 at Speedway 95 in Hermon, Maine
Speedway 95 in Hermon, Maine, is gearing up for its first races of the year after Saturday night's season-opening event was cancelled due to rain.
When the race track announced the rainout Friday evening, May 2, it said no makeup date had been scheduled.
The night was set to include Tigers (25 Laps), Sport 4s (25 Laps), Late Models (30 Laps), Street Stocks (30 Laps) and Cage Runners (50 Laps).
All divisions were scheduled to take the track for a pretty car contest before racing.

The track's next scheduled event is set for Saturday, May 10.
The lineup for Saturday night is expected to include Limited Sportsman, Street Stock, Tigers, Sport 4's, and cage runners.
According to the track, the night will include a 50-lap Sport 4 feature race.
When announcing the cancellation of what had been scheduled to be the opening night of racing, the track said, let's "hope that we can get Mother Nature on our side for the remainder of the year!"

According to Speedway 95's website, the raceway is a 1/3 mile semi-banked paved oval.
Speedway 95 opened in 1966 and is one of four active raceways in the Pine Tree State. The others include Wiscasset Speedway in Wiscasset, Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, and Unity Raceway in Unity.
