Macklemore announced he had been dropped from the remaining U.S. dates of Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour.
His removal followed remarks supporting Palestinians during shows in New Jersey, with Sheeran saying promoters made the decision after several venues threatened to cancel concerts if Macklemore remained on the lineup.

Sheeran said Macklemore asked to join his tour last year and that he agreed because he respected him as an artist.
Sheeran also said he spoke with Gillette Stadium owner Robert Kraft while trying to resolve concerns raised by venues about Macklemore remaining on the tour.
Sheeran is scheduled to perform at Gillette Stadium on September 25th and 26th, 2026, with an original lineup that included Macklemore, Lukas Graham, and Aaron Rowe.
Following Macklemore’s removal, Graham, Rowe, Finneas, and Sheeran’s backing band, Beoga, withdrew from the tour in solidarity.

And there you have it! Kraft was among the venue representatives involved in discussions that preceded Macklemore’s removal, though Sheeran said the final decision was made by the tour promoter.
