Much of Maine could see another foot of snow pile up after a winter storm moves into the state, Thursday into Friday.

Another week, another round of snow for much of Maine. The National Weather Service is watching another winter storm that could bring a foot of snow to much of Maine. The storm is expected to begin Thursday afternoon as rain mixed with snow in the Bangor and Downeast areas, transitioning to all snow throughout the overnight hours. Snow is expected throughout the day Friday, winding down in the evening.

Forecasters say: "There is still a lot of uncertainty on where the front will stall -- over land, or over water, so expect to see changes in the location of where the heaviest snowfall is expected." Early predictions show the Bangor and Downeast areas picking up another foot of heavy, wet, snow. The Topsfield area could see a repeat of last week's nor'easter, with 12-18 inches of new snowfall expected.

Winter Storm Warnings, Advisories, and Watches have been issued throughout the state ahead of the storm.

We will update this article with further forecast changes when they become available.
