Gifford’s Sets Opening Date, Bangor DQ Opens Today

It's the most wonderful time of the year ... for ice-cream lovers!

I'm still not sure why ice cream stands shut down at all. Mainers are pretty hard-core, and ice cream addicts even more so. I'd totally buy a cone in December, but that's just me. But they do, and for a few sad months we are all made to wait for our ice-cream fix, or just buy gallons from the store.

Well, I am elated to pass along the news to my fellow frozen dairy connoisseurs that the Dairy Queen on Broadway opened for business today. And Gifford's stands across the state will be opening on March 15. And, as we reported earlier this week, right here on the website, Jimmie's Ice Cream And Grill will open March 1.

SO many options for ice-cream! So let that give you something to look forward to in the coming weeks, or tomorrow, if you like.
