Hey Belfast! Looking for something fun and FREE to do?

The city of Belfast has come with a fun way for people to get together and have a sense of community once again, after many months of uncertainty during the Covid pandemic. A nice summer night outdoors with a classic movie is a great opportunity to get friends and family back out into the world again.

Our Town Belfast, will be hosting a free four-part outdoor movies series that will be shown at Steamboat Landing Park, located at 34 Commercial Street. The films will be viewed on a 20-foot inflatable movie screen. Movies will be shown on two dates in July and two in August. These will be safe, and socially distanced events that everyone can enjoy.

Our Town Belfast is a community-driven organization that strives to grow and sustain Belfast’s historic downtown, and supports local businesses.

Here is the breakdown of the free movie night events at Steamboat Landing park:

Wednesday, July 21st (With a rain day makeup date of September 1st)

8:30pm – Babe

After being separated from his family, a young pig learns to herd sheep in an effort to save his own life.

Wednesday, August 4th (With a rain day makeup date of August 11th)

8:00pm – Toy Story

A Tale of a rivalry between two dolls, a cowboy named Woody and space ranger Buzz Lightyear.

Wednesday, August 18th (With a rain day makeup date of August 25th)

8:00pm – The Wizard of Oz

A young farm girl and her little dog are magically transported into the enchanted land of Oz via a Kansas tornado in this classic 1939 film
