As if we aren't spoiled enough here in Maine, particularly in the Bangor area, with a ton of incredible concerts each and every year, there are even more options when you explore the rest of the state.
One of the great things about living here, is the number of places you can travel to in the warmer months, so how about another road trip idea?
There is nothing better than being outdoors on a warm summer night, enjoying fantastic live music!
Over the last several years, the flagship location of L.L. Bean in Freeport has been hosting a "Summer in the Park” live concert series, which just happens to be free to the public.
They have snagged some pretty big names over the years, including artists like Gavin DeGraw, The Fray, Melissa Etheridge and others.
Another summer season has begun, with a lineup of shows to enjoy outside, and best of all, they are free to the public.

Louisa Stancioff
July 19
She has quickly established herself as one of the premier musical artists in Maine. Her sound is a mix of folk, rock, and pop.
Love By Numbers
July 26
An atmospheric, nostalgia-laced vocal harmony group for modern times.
Toby McAllister & The Sierra Sounds
August 2
Known primarily as the founding member of Sparks the Rescue, Toby has been playing music since he was old enough hold a guitar.
Pete Kilpatrick
August 9
Maine-based singer/songwriter Pete Kilpatrick brings his talents to the summer concert stage.
Breakin’ Strings
August 16
Since 2005, Breakin’ Strings has been making bluegrass music with an unmistakable twang, born in the heart of Maine.
Spencer Albee
August 23
Spencer Albee is a Portland based and nationally acclaimed singer, songwriter and producer.
Muddy Ruckus
August 30
Muddy Ruckus is a “darkly inventive” rock duo. Guitarist Ryan Flaherty and drummer Erika Stahl of Portland, play a grungy style of railroad indie punk blues.
You can grab a spot on the grass to enjoy the show. Guests are welcome to put out chairs starting at 6 a.m. They have a no blankets policy on the lawn.
