A woman accused of attacking her husband and his mother after he lost a golf tournament is a former Miss Maine Teen USA.

Krista Glover, formerly Krista Wakefield, lives in Florida with her husband, 2009 U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover. On Saturday, Lucas returned home and told his wife and mother that he had shot 78 and missed a 54-hole cut at the Players Championship. That's when things went awry.

The Portland Press Herald reports that Krista called 911, telling the operator that she had been attacked by her mother-in-law. But, when the operator asked for specifics, the former Cumberland native hung up without replying. And when the operator called back, Lucas answered the phone and said that he was the 'sane one in the bunch' and they would have to talk to him. He said that Krista had been drinking and that her account wasn't accurate, stating that it was she who had attacked his mother after verbally assaulting him.

Investigating officers found injuries on her husband's arms and have charged Krista with a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence battery and resisting arrest without violence. Her mother-in-law also had injuries to her arms but didn't want to press charges. Krista was taken to jail and then released on $2,500 bond.

Krista Wakefield was crowned Miss Maine Teen USA in 1998 and was a standout on the Greely High School basketball teams in the late 1990s. She and Lucas Glover were married in 2012 and have two children together.
