Former Bangor Swim Instructor Charged with Unlawful Sexual Touching

The trial of a former swim instructor at the Bangor YMCA charged with unlawful sexual touching is scheduled to begin on Thursday.

Matthew Cook, 42, is charged with the crime. The trial at the Bangor Judicial Center is expected to last into Friday, December 13.

The charges do not involve children who used the YMCA, prosecutors told WABI.

The charge stems from alleged inappropriate behavior involving an 18-year-old woman in Newport, according to that report.
