Downtown Bangor's annual 'Plaid Friday' is back the day after Thanksgiving for another special day of great deals from local businesses.

An Alternative to Big Box Black Friday

The event takes place on Black Friday, the day when big box stores offer the lowest prices of the season for a one-day/ one-event only opportunity to shop bottom-dollar prices for holiday gift buying.

Plaid Friday, however, is an opportunity to bring the local dollars to local businesses, to feed the local economy, and keep money within the community for the gift-buying season and beyond.

It'll Be Easier To Get Around

Don't worry about parking because you'll have the option to use the Pickering Square Parking Garage for free starting at 7 AM. If you want to shop via public transportation, the Community Connector will be making stops around Downtown to bring you right to the shopping center.
