ROAD TRIP: Foo Fighters Are Coming to the Bank of NH Pavilion
Because we just needed one more big concert announcement this week...
We've already announced Weezer here in Bangor yesterday. This morning we let folks know that Santana was also headed for the Queen City. Both appearing at the Maine Savings Amphitheater this summer. But there was one act last summer we sadly missed out on, and there's kind of a make-good coming our way. Well, kinda.
Just announced, Foo Fighters will be coming to the Bank of NH Pavilion in Gilford on May 24th. They've been booking dates for the upcoming year, and it's probably one of the most anticipated shows anywhere. A lot of folks kind of assumed that Foo Fighters might hang it up after Taylor Hawkins died last year. But that turned out to not be the case.
At this time, no one knows who will replace Taylor Hawkins.
All will undoubtedly be announced in the nearer than distant future, but it still remains to be seen who'll take up the drum duties for the Foos. I personally have speculated it may be Rufus Taylor, son of Roger Taylor of Queen. Although Rufus plays for another killer band you may have heard of called the Darkness. so he's no slouch.
No word on who the opening act is either. That's more info that may still be in the works. Tickets for the NH Pavilion show go on sale this Friday at 10:00am. If you're a Bank of NH Pavilion cardholder, you can access the pre-sale for the show right now. Otherwise, you're waiting until Friday like the rest of us. Regardless, huge news for New England concert goers.
