It’s Official — Five Below Is Coming to Bangor, this Sunday!
The rumors are true.
As 2026 continues, new businesses keep arriving in the Greater Bangor area, and one of the most anticipated additions is finally on its way.
“Hot prices. Cool stuff.” That’s the tagline of Five Below, the popular American discount retail chain known for trendy, low-cost products.
What Is Five Below?
Five Below is a specialty discount retailer where most items are priced at $5 or less, with a select assortment priced up to $25. The brand is especially popular with tweens and teens, but offers a wide variety of products for shoppers of all ages.
Founded in 2002, the company has grown rapidly and now operates more than 1,700 stores across 44 U.S. states.
Think of it as a modern, trend-focused take on the traditional discount store.
This Sunday, from 10am-7pm, Five Below is set to hold a soft opening at 480 Stillwater Avenue in Bangor, taking over the former Party City space. The official grand opening will take place in the coming weeks.
