It was a St. Paddy's Day to remember!

People celebrating St. Patrick's Day at The Dubliner in Boston, got a quite a thrill last night, when pop star, Ed Sheeran showed up to play a last minute gig.

On his Instagram page he wrote "Meet me in the pub tonight" then tagged his location.

Rocking a Boston Celitcs jersey, he played a set of some of his biggest hits, including “Galway Girl”, “Nancy Mulligan,” “Shivers”, “Perfect,” and “Don’t.”

As you can imagine, the staff and partons at The Dubliner, were pretty psyched to see him

In fact, The Dubliner actually ran a livestream on their Facebook page

The Dubliner, located at 2 Center Plaza, in Boston, hosted St. Patrick's Day events all day yesterday, and shared a video on Instagram of Sheeran in his Celtics jersey, playing his Justin Bieber duet "I Don’t Care" on the guitar, accompanied by musicians playing a fiddle and other traditional instruments.

The crowd was blown away that on a random night out to party, a huge pop star decided to drop by to play some music. Pretty cool.

The Bangor, Maine area got a little taste of his incredible talent, way back on Sunday, May 24th, 2015, when he played a sold out show, at the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion, which of course now is known as Maine Savings Amphitheater. It was an amzing show.

Maybe one day we will be lucky enough to get him to come back to town!
