The National Weather Service may as well suggest to break out the picnic basket.

Looks as though this Saturday and Sunday here in eastern Maine may be a couple of really good days to get yourself out of quarantine and out of the house.  Don't waste these days away by standing in line outside of Walmart, pick up your ground beef and twelve packs before the weekend even gets here.  Be prepared!

Saturday's forecast is currently calling for the slight chance of an early morning shower, then partly sunny skies with a high temperature of 64, and the winds will be calm.

Sunday's forecast is for partly sunny skies once again with a high of 65 degrees with calm winds, and a 20% chance of an afternoon shower, according to the National Weather Service.

Both days look nice enough to get that spring yard work done, get the backyard deck ready for staining, plant a garden, or prepare the cemetery plot for Memorial Day. After last weekend's driving winds and snowfall this Saturday and Sunday should be like a day at the beach.

Speaking of the beach, looking even further down the line it looks like we may actually have some heated temperatures in eastern Maine by Memorial Day weekend, as this information from Pivotal Weather was posted to Twitter by Robert LaRoche.  We can only hope that it turns out to be true.
