Downtown Bangor Officially Invites You To The New Year’s Ball Drop
It may not be a long event but, it certainly is one of the most anticipated events of the year here in the Bangor Area. Maybe this year especially.
An Annual Downtown Bangor Event
Downtown Bangor is once again bringing back the annual ball drop, the unofficial official end of an old, disappointing, pandemic-filled year to begin the start of a new, possibly less disappointing, pandemic-filled year. People will fill West Market Square, hopefully socially distanced as well, to join in on welcoming in the New Year together with the tossing of a ball over the roof of a building in Downtown.
Paddy Murphy's is hosting the event and put up an event for it on Facebook recently. Check out the event page on Facebook called 'New Year's Eve Ball Drop' to share with your friends and to show that you are interested in going or plan on going.
When to Come & Be Cautious of COVID
According to the event page, come by 5 minutes before midnight to watch the ball drift off of the side of the Paddy Murphy's building and holler in joy of the end of pandemic year #2.
Consider not milling around for too long, simply for COVID precautions but, do enjoy a good embrace with close friends and/or family.
