A free movie outdoors? Our Spidey senses are tingling!

It’s a rare non-concert night on the Bangor Waterfront, so grab the gang this Friday, August 5th, because Downtown Bangor is teaming up with the Maine Savings Amphitheater, to host a FREE screening of the smash hit movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home. It's all part of Downtown Bangor's "First Fridays" weekly series of fun family events

The gates will open at 7:15 pm that night, and the film will begin at 8:15 pm sharp. Best of all, there is plenty of room there to stretch out and enjoy the show on the big screen. Also, it is an excellent chance to get a look at all the new improvements made to the concert facility while you are there!

Unfortunately, there is a chance of a shower that night, so you should be prepared for the worst-case scenario if some rain does fall.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Spider-Man: Far From Home. It stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man, alongside Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Jamie Foxx. In the film, Peter Parker, asks Dr. Strange to use magic to make his identity as Spider-Man a secret again following its public revelation. When the spell goes wrong, the multiverse is broken open, which allows visitors from alternate realities to enter Peter's universe.

Spider-Man: No Way Home has grossed $804.8 million in the United States and Canada, and $1.096 billion in other countries, for a worldwide total of $1.901 billion. It was the highest-grossing film of 2021 and the sixth-highest-grossing film of all time.

It is the perfect Friday night movie to watch outdoors with the whole family!
