A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Orrington on Saturday.

The accident happened just before 3:30 Saturday afternoon, near the intersection of Route 15 (River Road) and Snow's Corner Road. Police told WABI-TV that a vehicle drifted into the breakdown lane and struck the bicycle. The cyclist was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The names of those involved have not been released. Police say distracted driving is believed to have been the cause of the crash.
