Demi Lovato, Celine Dion, Nick Jonas, Andra Day + More to Perform at Bee Gees Tribute
Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Andra Day, Celine Dion, DNCE, Tori Kelly, John Legend, Little Big Town, Pentatonix and Keith Urban will honor Grammy-winning trio and disco legends the Bee Gees in the upcoming "Stayin' Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music of the Bee Gees" tribute set to take place on February 14.
The event comes in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, which featured six of the group's best-known songs, "Stayin' Alive," "More Than a Woman," "How Deep Is Your Love," "Night Fever" and "You Should Be Dancing" and "Jive Talkin'." The concert will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, two days after the 2017 Grammy Awards.
Barry Gibb, the only remaining member of the group's three principal sibling members, will take the stage during the show (Maurice Gibb died in 2003, while Robin Gibb died in 2012). Tickets go on sale today, January 27, and can be purchased at www.axs.com or by contacting email@example.com. And for those who can't make it to Los Angeles, fear not: The show will be broadcast on CBS later in the year.
"The Bee Gees—Barry, Robin, and Maurice—were international musical icons who helped make ‘Saturday Night Fever’ an emblem of 1970s pop culture," President/CEO of The Recording Academy Neil Portnow said in a statement. "With expert harmonies, undeniable groove and a personal charisma matching their on-stage persona, the iconic band of brothers defined not just a genre, but a generation. I'm looking forward to celebrating one of the most famous soundtracks ever produced and reliving 'SaturdayNight Fever,' once again."
