Elderly Husband, Wife Dead In Interstate 95 Crash In Plymouth

Police have confirmed and husband and wife are dead after a a crash near mile marker 161 in Plymouth Friday afternoon.

Police said the car went off the northbound lane and struck a tree in the median. The crash took place about 12:30 p.m.

The victims are an elderly husband and wife. Northbound traffic in Plymouth has been slowed as troopers investigate the crash.

Maine State Police issued a warning to motorists via social media just before 1 p.m. and asked that motorists use caution and seek an alternate route.
