Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding Release New Track ‘Outside’ [LISTEN]

We're pretty sure a song about a failed relationship has never been this much fun. Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding have teamed up to release new song 'Outside' -- a breakup song you can actually dance to. Listen to it above!

The collaboration is a total 180 from the duo's last release -- 2012's 'I Need Your Love'. The song's synth-pop dance beat has some seriously ominous electric strings -- totally lending an appropriately darker mood to the breakup tune. Ellie's signature breathy vocals desperately proclaim: "Fire's out, what do you want to be?"

The track then builds to a super catchy, anthemic chorus, with Ellie singing: "Show you what it feels like / Now I'm on the outside / We did everything right / Now I'm on the outside" perfectly encapsulating the isolating feeling of a one-sided breakup. It's a definite club hit, that's for sure!

'Outside' will appear on Calvin's upcoming followup to his 2012 release '18 Months.' Fans can buy the album, titled 'Motion' -- which features other celebs like Gwen Stefani, HAIM and Big Sean --- when it officially drops on Nov. 4.
