There will be lots to do throughout the day, including:
- Food trucks
- Face painting
- Scavenger Hunt
- A Morning Fun Run
- Live music
- Prizes & surprises from Brewer businesses
- A fireworks display
The fireworks display will take place between 8:30-9pm! Make sure you get there early and check out the retro band, "I Want My MTV" in the Children's Garden on the Brewer Riverwalk, from 7pm-9pm.
The Brewer Riverwalk is a scenic, paved pathway along the Penobscot River shoreline that passes by the Children's Garden and offers some breathtaking views of Bangor.
The paved trail gives a vantage point to all three bridges that cross between Brewer and Bangor and the Bangor Waterfront. There are plenty of park benches along the way to sit and take in the sights, and even a few picnic tables to sit at and eat lunch or dinner by High Tide, and Mason's Brewing Company.
This is a hot spot for walking, dog walking, and taking an evening stroll. The trail is paved, lighted, and features some pretty great scenic river overlooks. At low tide, the shoreline can be accessed by a set of granite steps.
You can find your way onto the Riverwalk, at 99 Hardy St, in Brewer.
Don't miss this fun kickoff to what is sure to be a fun summer here in the Bangor/Brewer area, this Saturday!
