Graduation weekend is finally here, but you MUST see this fun blast from the past first!

As we approach the end of another school year, with Brewer High School’s graduation ceremony coming up this Sunday morning at 11am, wouldn’t it be cool to take a look waaaay back, 35 years ago, to see what the Class of 1990 was up to?

Have you ever gone down a rabbit hole on YouTube? Sometimes you will truly be amazed by what you might find, so you can imagine my surprise when I came across this gem.

It's the 1990 Brewer Video Yearbook, and it is glorious.

Let me set the scene for you first.

On June 8th, 1990, the number one song in the country was Wilson Phillips's "Hold On" (for all you younger folks, you might remember it from the end of the movie "Bridesmaids")

The #1 movie was the Eddie Murphy sequel "Another 48 Hours"

And "Cheers" was the number one television show in the U.S.

If you are from the Greater Bangor area, there is an above-average chance that you will spot at least one person you know (even if it was 35 years ago) but you can also get a good chuckle out of all the hairstyles and clothes, as the video yearbook looks back at all the Brewer Witches highlights from the 1989/1990 school year.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025, but remember to not giggle too much at the video, 20 years from now, you will look back and think "What on earth was I wearing?!"

Stephen King's Bangor

Thousands of King fans visit Bangor every year, and it seems all of them go to his house on West Broadway. (Yes, that's on the list.) But the city features many landmarks that appear in some shape or form in one or more of King's stories.
