Boil Water Order Lifted for Birch Avenue, Viola’s Way and Fox Street in Ellsworth

Update February 5th 4:25 p.m. the  Boil Water Order has been lifted for everyone on Birch Avenue, Viola's Way and Fox Street in Ellsworth after the water samples have have come back from the lab without any signs of coliform bacteria

Because of the Water Main break in Ellsworth on Monday morning, February 3rd, a Boil Water Order has been issued for everyone on Birch Avenue, Viola's Way and Fox Street in Ellsworth.

The order, issued at 1 p.m. on February 3rd, directs all Ellsworth Water Department customers on Birch Avenue, Viola's Way and Fox Street to boil all water for at least 5 minutes before drinking, making ice cubes, washing foods, brushing teeth or in any other activity involving consumption of water.

This order shall remain in effect until further notice
