Extra sprinkles, please.

The hot fudge sundaes and triple cones are being dished out again through the take-out windows at Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar on the Bar Harbor Road in Ellsworth, as they officially opened for the season just a few days ago.

Seems like spring and even summer is definitely in the air as customers were seen lining up in bulk during the prime time of the days this past weekend.

The Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar enjoys a fabulous location, as it's on the well-traveled Route 3 between Ellsworth and Bar Harbor.  Many residents of the area and tourists stop there numerous times throughout the summer season to enjoy an after supper ice cream of some sort while parked under the huge pine trees there.

The Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar focuses exclusively on ice cream products while leaving foods like fried haddock sandwiches and burgers to the other take-outs in the downeast area.  Fortunately for you, they're open seven days a week between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m.

This opening follows on the heels of the opening of Gifford's Ice Cream Stand on outer Broadway in Bangor this past Friday, in which every major media news organization from the area showed up to cover it.

So, when will other very popular seasonal take-outs like Jordan's Snack Bar in Ellsworth and Crosby's Drive-In and Carrier's Mainly Lobster in Bucksport finally open?   Only time will tell, so please follow us on Facebook to keep up to date.

In the meantime, we'll take an large banana boat with extra whipped cream and cherries, please.
