Big Smiles & Bigger Whoopies: Kick Off Summer Right with the Whoopie Pie Festival
How many whoopie pies can you eat in 10 minutes?
In one day?
You can put those claims to the test from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 14 at the Piscataquis Valley Fairgrounds during the 2025 Maine Whoopie Pie Festival. Celebrated bakers again will distribute a wide assortment of whoopie pie flavors, from the traditional cakey chocolate to peanut butter, pistachio, maple oatmeal, cinnamon, and more.
Organized by the Center Theatre and the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce, the Whoopie Pie Festival will award prizes and bragging rights to New England bakers showcasing their takes on Maine's Official State Treat. It also will feature your favorite summer festival staples:
- Dozens of vendors, crafters, and artists
- PACC Whoopie Pie 1K/3K Race
- Varney Agency Kid's Zone with magician Conjuring Carroll, bounce houses, magic shows, pony rides, and more.
- Limitless Wrestling live performances
- Live music
Of course, they'll have whoopie pie eating contests (kids, teen, and adult divisions) in the baker's area, too.
Admission is $6 per person, and kids 12 and younger are admitted free. Plan for the day in advance by buying fast passes, tokens, whoopie pie-themed jewelry, and quilt raffle tickets online. Learn more at mainewhoopiepiefestival.com.
