Best Places To See Holiday Light Displays Near Bangor
Everywhere you go during this season you are bound to see at least one house decked from head to toe in lights that blink, twinkle, and dazzle passing vehicles and those who sit in awe in the breakdown lane.
Here are some of our favorite places to see light displays in the greater Bangor area. We know we missed some, so feel free to let us know in the comments below your favorite places to look at lights.

Hathaway Holiday LightsBangor
* Unfortunately, this stop is no longer on the list, as the owners have moved. However, there may be a new display nearby. We'll keep you posted!
This light display comes with music and also collects donations for a good cause! The lights run nightly from 430-9PM .The musical show is free for holiday onlookers, but a red stocking hangs by the road to collect donations for Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Check out the show from 2013!
St. Joseph Hospital Lights of RemembranceBangor
Each year, St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor lights up the exterior of the building near the main entrance. You can easily see the Lights of Remembrance display while cruising down Broadway in Bangor.
You can't miss this beautiful display if you drive the River Rd. after dark. Known for their fresh vegetables and plants in the spring, they have also developed a reputation for their ever growing light display.
We kinda stumbled upon this one! We noticed it as we were heading up North Main Street in Brewer. Just turn onto Silk Street and you'll find this great display near the corner of Washington Street. Trust us you can't miss it!
Residents of this neighborhood became notorious in past years for their elaborate decor fueled by friendly competition from neighbors for the best lights.
Of course there are lots of lights to see at the annual Festival of Lights Parade, but you can find beautiful lights throughout downtown all season long. The Maine Discovery Museum is literally covered in lights this year! It's looking pretty festive in Downtown!
You can see this display from Stillwater Ave! Every bit of yard space has been transformed into a winter wonder land! If you want a closer look just head down Elm Street off Stillwater.
Upper Dedham RoadDedham
This is totally worth the trip out to Dedham! The halls are definitely decked out at this Dedham home! We tried to capture as much as we could with photos, but they don't do it justice! You gotta see it for yourself!
This whole neighborhood is in the holiday spirit! There's so many great displays throughout the street! Make sure you drive around the whole loop! This photo is just a taste of what you'll see! Someone even lit up their basketball hoop in colorful lights! The whole street is awesome!
As you cruise down County Road in Milford you see a few great displays! Then the grand finale is toward the end of the road. You'll cross three little bridges before you arrive at the display, which will be on your left. You seriously can't miss it!
On Ohio St. in Bangor, it's hard to miss this decked out house. Tons of light up decorations and inflatables deck the lawn with snowmen and a manger scene.
Another Ohio St. home has decked the halls. Many strands of lights outline the home, trees and fence. The yard features inflatable snowmen and Santa, with lit candy canes and deer.
Fans of A Christmas Story will love this simple but awesome display on Elm St. in Bangor. You'll first notice a fully decorated tree on the porch, within the window is the infamous leg lamp. "Fra-gee-ly. Must be Italian!"
Clyde Road is loop in Bangor's Little City neighborhood. There's one house that really goes all out. You'll see dragons, giant snowmen, your favorite Peanuts characters, and lots more.
