There are some Maine speeders who may be on board with an initiative going on in a few town's across North America.

In partnership with Donate Life California, California communities are offering organ donors a pass on minor traffic violations instead of a tickets by California police departments.

This is a part of Donate Life California's "Second Chances" effort where pulled over drivers were aloud to get off with warnings of minor traffic violations if their licenses showed that they were registered organ donors.

According to the initiative's website, over 100,000 people in the United States are waiting for an organ transplant and this campaign is a reminder to everyone that you can help give a second chance for somebody else by simply being an organ donor.

The same campaign has inspired other towns to give thanks and the initiative has been picked up by Calgary's Canadian police as well.
