Bangor Symphony Orchestra Releases Updated Covid-19 Precautions

The Bangor Symphony Orchestra is the latest organization to require proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test from audience members, prior to admittance into performances.

They released the new list of precautions on the Bangor Symphony Orchestra's Facebook Page today.

"In response to local conditions, and with great consideration for the health and safety of our performers, audience members, and staff, the BSO is instituting the following precautions for our Fall 2021 performances."

Aside from showing proof of vaccination for an FDA approved Covid-19 vaccine, audience members who are unvaccinated may gain entry by providing proof that they are negative for the virus.

"Provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test conducted within 72 hours of the performance start time or a negative COVID-19 rapid (antigen) test within 12 hours of the performance start time. This includes children under 12 who are not yet eligible to be vaccinated."

The BSO is also requiring all audience members, regardless of vaccination status, mask up while inside the Collins Center For The Arts. And as common sense dictates, if anyone is feeling ill, the BSO asks that they not attend a performance.

Ticket holders are being contacted this week regarding the changes being made. If they are unable to attend the performances in person, there is a live streaming option they can take advantage of. These changes will remain in effect throughout the season, till November 30th.
