Bangor Police Arrest Double Robbery Suspect

Bangor Police say they've arrested a female suspect in connection with two convenience store robberies.

38-year-old Michelle Cormier of Bangor is charged with two counts of robbery, which are Class B felonies for a pair of crimes within a five-hour span. Both robberies were at Bangor 'On The Run' convenience stores.

The first incident took place at the Airport On the Run, at the corner of Union Street and Griffin Road. A suspect entered the store at around 11:40 Sunday night and made off with an undisclosed amount of money. Then, just before 5:00 Monday morning, a suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the State Street On the Run store. No weapon was shown in either instance and no one was hurt in the robberies.

Cormier was arrested at around 6:00 Monday evening and is being held at the Penobscot County Jail, with bail set at $10,000.
