Bangor Muni Damage from Chase Unknown

Golfers who plan to play at Bangor Municipal golf course today might want to call ahead after part of the course became a police crime scene yesterday.

Bangor police chased a vehicle driven by a suspect from a Rite Aid robbery onto the course. 46-year-old Jeffrey Macy of Eastbrook has been charged with felony, drug and other charges.

Officers attempted to stop Macy, but he drove onto the course circling the 17th and 18th fairways. Eventually the car was hit by a police vehicle and disabled. No estimate on the amount of damage to the course or if play will be interrupted for repair.
