A Dixmont man is in custody after he allegedly burglarized a Bangor residence.

Clifford G. Dupray, 36, was arrested after police, assisted by a canine officer, found him hiding behind a nearby residence on Wednesday.

At about 3:30 p.m., police responded to a home on Elizabeth Avenue after the owners interrupted a burglary.

Police say the homeowners arrived home to find several items out of place and heard a noise upstairs. They then found a man in a bedroom. The man jumped out a second-story window and fled on foot, according to ot police.

It wasn't long before police followed his trail to Thirteenth Street, where he was found.

Dupray faces charges of burglary and criminal trespassing.
