Bangor-Brewer Shrine Club Drive Thru Baked Bean Supper Benefit
A great cause and fantastic food this Saturday? Count us in!
One of my favorite meals growing up was beans & hot dogs. Every Saturday night, it was my mothers way of kinda taking a night off from cooking. It's a traditon that I grew to love, and to this day, I stil enjoy it, and as it happens, I can experience it again this weekend.
This Saturday, February 20th, starting at 3pm, the Bangor-Brewer Shine Club is hosting a drive-thru dinner pick up. COVID-19 has impacted us all over the last 11 plus months, and lots of businesses and orginzations have felt the pinch, and the shriners are no exception to the rule. This a 100 percent non-profit event. And best of all, social distancing measures are in place. You just simply have your donation ready, roll up to the drive-thru window, and boom, a fantastic meal awaits you. So why not lend them a hand, and enjoy a baked bean supper with all the fixins.
The event takes place at the Anah Shrine Center, which is located at 1404 Broadway in Bangor. It starts at 3pm, and lasts until they sell out. A mere $10 dollars per plate gets you a hearty, delicious meal that includes, home made baked beans(the best kind!), red hot dogs, coleslaw, rolls from Bangor Rye Company, and of course, dessert. Not a bad haul for the price, and it helps out the Bangor-Brewer Shrine Club, who have done so many wonderful things for people here in our community.
Big shout out to the good folks at Kosta's Restaurant in Brewer, for providing the yummy coleslaw, and the beans are from the shriners themselves.
