One of Bangor's most popular and long-held holiday events is on the calendar.

The 2021 Anah Shriners Feztival of Trees is scheduled for seven days in November, allowing for the general public to wander the Anah Shrine auditorium on Outer Broadway to find the best trees with the best prizes to be won.

This annual event is a fundraising event for the Anah Shriners which raises money for The Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield and Boston. These hospitals are dedicated to specialty pediatrics to help children in treating severe burns, orthopedic care, and spinal cord injuries.

The Feztival features donated trees decked out by area businesses often time displayed with holiday themes. All of the swag in and around each tree can be worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Tickets purchased are placed in buckets near the trees and winners of the trees are picked from the tickets collected from each tree.

It's a game of odds that is highly anticipated during the holiday season and that many people in the Bangor area are willing to play.

Here's what the schedule looks like this year to get your tickets and see the trees:

  • Thursday, November 18th from 4 PM - 8 PM
  • Friday, November 19th from 10 AM - 8 PM
  • Saturday, November 20th from 10 AM - 8 PM
  • Sunday, November 21st from 10 AM - 6 PM
  • Friday, November 26th from 10 AM - 8 PM
  • Saturday, November 27th from 10 AM - 8 PM
  • Sunday, November 28th from 10 AM - 4 PM

Admission is $2 to get in and you will purchase your tree tickets in person. Additionally, you do have a virtual option that will allow you to buy your tickets from the comfort of your own home.
