2022 Common Ground Country Fair Design Revealed

Every year the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association has a competition for Maine artists to design the poster for the upcoming year's Common Ground Country Fair poster and a winning design has been selected.

The Common Ground Country Fair is an annual event that takes place in September in Unity and draws thousands of visitors and hundreds of vendors to celebrate Maine's agricultural economy and way of life. Speakers, demonstrators, vendors and presenters are welcomed to join in on the event and visitors come from all over New England and beyond to enjoy the doings of the fair.

Common Ground Country Fair Poster Design 2022

The design was unveiled last week on Facebook by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association and features a beautiful raven sitting on a post, artwork created by Maine artist Morgan Cameron. Here's how MOFGA unveiled the design for this year's artwork:

"We are thrilled to unveil the 2022 Common Ground Country Fair poster at MOFGA's annual meeting tonight! This year's artwork by Morgan Cameron is titled Raven with Blackberries. A common sight on many farms, homesteads and wherever blackberries are found, this artwork is a fitting selection for our annual celebration of rural living."

Artist Is A Former Pony

The artist is a former Foxcroft Academy alum who graduated in 2010 and the school went to social media to give their props to this beautiful piece of artwork that is now forever a part of a historic Maine event. The school gave a congrats to the artist on her achievement: "Congratulations Morgan on this beautiful piece of artwork! #rideonponies"

The poster is offered for sale at the MOFGA website for $10. The size of the poster is 15 1/2" x 22 1/2". And stay tuned for details about this year's upcoming Common Ground Country Fair scheduled for September 23, 24 and 25 at MOFGA.org.
