My cousin, Austin Grant was totally the life of every party! He was also a caring and sensitive guy who was always eager to help people out. Austin was a hunter since he was a little boy. I have very fond memories growing up with that kid, and most of them he was wearing camo.

In 2012, Austin was killed when his pick up collided with a truck on route 1 in Ellsworth. His friends and family couldn’t imagine a hunting opening day without him, so the annual Austin J Grant Hunter's Breakfast was born.

This year, the 3rd Annual Austin J Grant Hunter's breakfast will benefit Warm Waldo fund. There will be a raffle for a heat pump, a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese auction also taking place at the breakfast. You can also purchase  t shirts like the one pictured below.

The breakfast will take place at the Thorndike Town Office, 125 Mt. View Road, on November 1st, bright and early at 4:00am and goes until 11:30am. Proceeds from the event will go straight to the Warm Waldo Fund.

Adults can eat for $8, children eat for $5 (Children 5 and under are free)
