Today is "National Pizza with the Works, Except Anchovies Day"

Each November 12th, pizza lovers get their due and pile on the toppings.

This annual pizza holiday gets the spotlight with olives, pepperoni, sausage, peppers, and onions. How about mushrooms, bacon, or pineapple? Pretty much anything but anchovies goes today.

Whether it is thin crust, Chicago-style, deep dish, or anything in between, pizza is an American favorite.
