In 2004, Regina George (Rachel McAdams) and her clique of Plastics (Lacey Chabert, Amanda Seyfried) were solidified as the ultimate on-screen high school mean girls in Tina Fey's aptly-titled pop culture classic, Mean Girls.

Both popular and loathed by her onscreen peers, the mean girl character is a favorite archetype of any quintessential high school movie, and with good reason: Usually gorgeous, cruel and narcissistic, this particularly nasty, antagonistic type of popular girl is fun to watch, especially when it comes time for poetic justice.

But Regina George isn't the only movie mean girl with a page in our burn book. From Carrie to Heathers to High School Musical, cinema has seen its fair share of beautiful bullies come and go through the decades.

Click through our gallery above to see some of the most iconic on-screen mean girls ever who aren't Plastics. And no, sorry—you still can't sit with them.
