Main Street in Bangor looks fantastic, minus that blue eyesore.

It was a long process, but upgrades to Main street along the Waterfront concert venue is complete. Next up is the waterfront area its self. Proposed improvements include permanent bathrooms, enclosing a portion of the venue and more. Some area residents and public officials think the improvements should start with a new fence around the venue.

After a season of shows and construction, the blue tarp hangs tattered along the outside of the venue. Its purpose is to prevent people from watching a show from the sidewalk. City Councilor Ben Sprague told WLBZ-TV, "Given how nice Main Street looks now, this [fence] doesn't really match up very well."

He hopes by next summer a replacement fence will constructed.

What do you think should replace the blue tarp fence?
