A 28-year-old man was arrested outside a convenience store in Gray on Wednesday and charged with selling heroin.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says Dennis Russell of West Paris was parked outside a convenience store on Portland Road when he was approached by drug agents.

The MDEA says agents recovered 85 grams of heroin with a street value of $17,000. Drug agents believe the heroin was destined for the Oxford County area.

Russell was transported to the Cumberland County Jail. Bail was set $40,000. The MDEA says the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
