Three Connecticut Men Nabbed in Drug Bust at Ellsworth Motel
Three Connecticut men were charged Thursday with felony drug trafficking.
MDEA agents, acting on information received as part of a several month drug investigation, executed a search warrant at an Ellsworth motel.
Police say they seized 140 Oxycodone (30 mg) pills, with a street value of $6,000. In addition, agents seized nearly $14,000 in cash, which is believed to be the proceeds of illicit drug sales.
Charged thus far in connection with this investigation are the following:
- Carlos Mercedes Pemberton, 39, Waterbury, Ct. Charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs (Oxycodone). This charged was aggravated based on Pemberton’s criminal history. Bail was set at $10,000 cash.
- Jose Javier Maisonet Jr., 22, of Waterbury, Ct. Charged with Class B Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs (Oxycodone) and violations of conditions of release. Bail was set at $5,000 cash.
- Luis Angel Hernandez, 33, Waterbury, Ct. Charged with Class B Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs (Oxycodone). Bail was set at $5,000 cash.
The three men were taken to the Hancock County Jail and booked on these charges. All have an initial court date of December 11, 2015.
