Donald Trump is the President of the United States now. Wily performance-art prankster Shia LaBeouf does not intend on taking that sitting down. The daring mind behind #ALLMYMOVIES (that time the Beef watched every single one of his movies back-to-back in reverse order at New York’s Angelika Film Center) and I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE (that other time when he put a paper bag over his head before walking the red carpet at the Berlinale) has unveiled his latest work of highly conceptual living art. And if you live in the New York metropolitan area and are willing to go to Queens, you could be part of it.

Outside the Museum of the Moving Image in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens, New York, LaBeouf and his frequent collaborators Nastja Säde Rönkkö  and Luke Turner have situated a live-streaming camera. The official web site explains that beginning from 9 a.m. this morning, the camera will run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, for the duration of Trump's presidency. All are invited to stand before the camera and offer a message of hope to anyone watching online by repeating the phrase "He will not divide us." The web site goes on to explain that the phrase is intended as “a show of resistance or insistence, opposition or optimism, guided by the spirit of each individual participant and the community.”

At the time of publication, Jaden Smith has been standing in front of a crowd of onlooking people chanting "He will not divide us" over and over again for nearly four hours.
