September is blood cancer awareness month and I'm reaching out both to raise awareness and to ask for your help.

My dear friend Keith Howard is battling AML (acute myeloid leukemia) and he and his family could really use your support.

They are very thankful that they've found a donor who hit every single genetic marker needed to make this transplant a go! They have been told hitting every genetic marker on a donor is rare! As they prepare for transplant, they still need help and support. Keith's tentative date for admit is Sept 23 for the 4 to 6 week stay. The basic medial rate for hotels in Boston is over $180 a night and those of you who are familiar with Boston, understands that to park your car adds on another $28 plus a night.

Once Keith is released, the pressure to be in Boston still continues for his necessary check ups. Once he is able to come home, they need to be at Dana Farber one visit every week for three months. Once that goal is up, they move to one visit every other week for an additional 3 months. Once that is up, they go to one visit a month for three months. After that it's one visit every other month.

The family is so thankful for this second chance, but it is coming with heavy and hard financial burdens all at one time and the pressure will stay for at least a year. Please help them reach more of this goal and please pass the link on and encourage others to donate.

With September being blood cancer awareness month, please encourage others to get swabbed and help save someone's life.

The Howard family thanks you and they appreciate your generosity during this difficult time. Please donate HERE.
